This site is undergoing a complete re-haul. I haven't had the time to make it what I wanted to, and still don't but am going to find the time somehow, someway to do so.

If you somehow stumbled across this site, and don't know what it is, a quick synopsis:

On August 23rd 2009, my ex-husband decided to keep one of our 2 daughters after a 2 week visitation. It can't be called kidnapping because he was not charged. I was told it was my fault and a civil problem because I had stepped out of the bounds of the Parenting Plan to allow him to see them after several months of not having done so. In the end, it took several weeks to get in front of a judge, and have her returned.

I initially started a blog to get attention, and then started this site to bring attention to such problems as this. A legal system created to protect rights, that then turns their back on the paperwork and disclaims the right to support it. I want change to happen, first in my own state, and then maybe further. I've heard so many stories from parents, read more in headlines stretching across several states, and yet no one does anything about it. Maybe I can't make a big change, but even a little one can help.

In the meantime, if someone has the resources, time, knowledge, web design abilities or anything else towards making this site a reality, it would be most appreciated. Please email me at contact@waitingtobebroughthome.com and let me know, and also know that every little thing you do to help, is helping some other parent who may be going through something similar.
